Winter in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan

January 19 - 23, 2009

Fellow photographer, Ray Wilson, and I ventured to the frozen north of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. With lots of snow and plenty of ice on the water we never ventured far from the warmth of our car. On our second day it was observed to be 14 degrees below zero at 10am. While there was blue sky on two days the rest brought overcast grey.

It was nearly a repeat of the trip made in the fall but this time, obviously, it was much colder and everything was covered in snow. As I prepare more images this page will change.
